Alex grew up in the hotel industry and has over 25 years experience of running a wide variety of events. Her experience, working in management and as Maitre d’Hotel in London restaurants, notably The Ivy and Wheeler’s Seafood restaurants, means she has a consummate understanding of how a successful event should be run.

Her passion for being a Toastmaster began when she assisted her father, a past Fellow of the Guild, when he worked as a Professional Toastmaster before retiring. She now runs a successful Wedding and Event Planning business in Cornwall. As a Professional Lady Toastmaster, Alex is able to call on her significant experience to ensure that your special event will be a true realisation of your personal vision and will ensure that it runs the way you have planned it, so that you and your guests have an occasion to remember.

Whilst being passionate about delivering a high standard of event management you will find Alex brings a calm organisation to any event and is able to deal with any last minute issues efficiently and creatively.

Alex is delighted to be following in her father’s footsteps into Fellowship of the Guild of Professional Toastmasters. She is also proud to be the first Lady Toastmaster to be admitted into the Guild.
